Choix, Iribe 1930

"Choix" includes an introductory essay and seven unique plates created by leading art deco artists and tastemaker Paul Iribe. The "choice"  referenced by the title concerns whether or not the French will successfully remain at the forefront of art and design in the changing modern world.  The book's seven plates offer Iribe's designs for upholstery textiles, jewelry, furniture and fashion. Each plate is composed of two parts, a black and white image photographically reproduced onto a mylar page, over a gold or silver embossed foil covered page (some with additional colored decoration). These designs were intended only as starting points for other designers to embellish upon. - currently available-
