to the development of the Viennese Secession movement, produced
this book with their students.
Conceived as a sketchbook for decorative painting, posters, books
and printing, decorative papers, menu and guest cards, carpets,
textiles, stencils, leaded glass windows, embroidery, monograms
and dressmaking.
These volumes are reflective of the style and ornamentation of
the Secession period and are a most influential example of the
design, textures and styles of the time.
With contributions by many of the leading graphic designers of
the day, including Koloman Moser, Wenzel Oswald, Gustav Marisch,
Prof. Anton R. v. Kenner and others.
These richly illustrated smaller posters capture the essence of
this highly graphical and colorful period in Austrian art and
are a marvelous collection of decorative graphic design typical
of the Wiener Werkstatte period.
