Three original fashion sketches by the designer, graphic artist
and illustrator Fritzi Löw. The first is for a pleated gown
with matching jacket and accessories, shown front and profile:
under the sketch, the artist has hand -written a paragraph in
pencil, detailing the design (in German).
The second is a larger design for a winter coat and mitt; the
model is seen from the front holding a rose; the sketch is signed.
The third sketch depicts a full pink ensemble (skirt and long
coat with hat); signed.
In 1915, while studying at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Löw
held a fashion exhibition and co-authored an album of designs
("Die Mode, 1914-1915"); throughout her career, she
remained in close contact with the Wiener Werkstätte group,
designing fashion as well as jewelry, textiles, glass and more,
and illustrating books for the main publishing houses of the day.
