with title information in brown lettering and pochoir-colored illustration
tipped-onto front cover; usual darkening to cover and some minor
scuffing; overall in good condition, with original ties intact.
This stunning album of designs for wallpapers, textiles and more,
presents 75 motifs in 20 plates, all hand-colored in vibrant, electric
colors with highlights of gold and silver. These bold patterns,
by one of the most imaginative artists of the period, are exemplary
of the heights reached by designers during the Art Deco period and
the album, as a whole, constitutes an important document for the
history and development of the decorative arts.
This is overall a very good copy, with some light yellowing to the
margins and a few minor tears to some of the page edges, not affecting
the image.
